As a previous posting notes, the manuscript entitled “Biography of the Leonards” composed in 1883 by Robert Leonard’s great-grandson Thomas Dunlap Leonard[1] states the following about the children of Robert and his wife Honor Pritchard:
When the war took place between England and the colonies of America, [Robert Leonard] rebelled against England and fought with America and was killed at the battle of Camden, leaving a widow with four children. He married an English lady named Honor Pritchard, early after her arrival to America. We have not the history of the Prichard [sic] family. She brought up her four children in Maryland. … Robert was the oldest child, then Thos., then Samuel, then Mary.
