In a previous posting focusing on Griffith James (bef. 1725? – 1795) of Washington County, Maryland, and Pendleton District, South Carolina, I note that online and conventionally published family trees often conflate a Griffith James with wife Mary Gyger living in Radnor township in Chester County, Pennsylvania, with the Griffith James of Washington County, Maryland, and Pendleton District, South Carolina, who also had a wife Mary.[1] (To read the continuation of this posting, please click the numeral 2 below.)
