I have now added to that previous posting digital images of three plats made for Joseph Day’s father, also named Joseph Day, in Montgomery County in December 1782 and January 1790 (two plats were surveyed on that day). These documents are recorded in Montgomery County, Virginia, Plat Bks. B, p. 147, and D, pp. 468, 552. I’ve added digital images of these plats to the previous posting, noting that they and other documents suggest to me that Joseph Day Sr. was acquiring land on the New River in Montgomery County while he and his family still lived in Frederick County, from which they seem to have moved in 1789-1790.
