New Material Added to Previous Postings about Elizabeth Bonneau Pickens and John Ewing Colhoun with Wife Floride Bonneau

Small ceramic painting of Elizabeth Bonneau at Gibbes Museum in Charleston, thought to be by Henry Benbridge or his wife Hetty Benbridge; thanks to Janet McNeil, historian at Fort Hill, Clemson, South Carolina, for sending me this information

This is a note to let readers know about new information I’ve added to a previous posting about Ezekiel Pickens, son of Andrew Pickens and Rebecca Calhoun, and Ezekiel’s wife Elizabeth Bonneau, and to a posting about John Ewing Colhoun, Rebecca’s brother, and wife Floride Bonneau, a sister to Elizabeth Bonneau Pickens. As the first posting I’ve just linked notes, Janet McNeil, historian at Fort Hill, the historic home of John C. Calhoun and Floride Bonneau Colhoun Calhoun on the Clemson University campus, recently sent to me a copy of a small ceramic portrait of Elizabeth Bonneau held by Gibbes Museum in Charleston. I’ve now added a digital image of that portrait (above) to the first posting linked above.
