Montgomery researcher Steve Tesdahl suggested to me that adding descendancy charts for Patrick and Catherine Montgomery Colhoun showing the connection of their grandson Alexander Noble to them, and for Catherine’s very likely brother James Montgomery and wife Anne, said to be a Thompson, would help readers place names mentioned in the posting. He also suggested I add a map showing the trajectory of Alexander Noble and William Calhoun’s trip back to Virginia from the Long Cane in late 1762 and early 1763.
