BEGATS AND BEQUEATHALS

The posting contains a close-up of the signature and a digital image of the page on which the signature appears. Despite having those images right in front of my eyes as I wrote the posting and knowing full well what the signature states, I twice stated – absurdly – that the signature reads, “Patk. Colhoun his book.”

When it plainly reads, instead, “Patk. Colhoun’s Book.”

I have now corrected that absurd mistake, and want to acknowledge my friend John Blythe for pointing the mistake out to me.
